Antique Sterling Silver Hackney Horse Society Medal and Sterling Silver French Relic Medal on Freshwater Pearl Necklace
This sterling silver Hackney Horse Society Medal has been fashioned into a necklace by vintage jewelry designers, Intellectual Property. The round, antique medal was made by Mappin & Webb, and was found in Birmingham, England. Layered with the Hackney Horse Society medal is a French sterling silver religious medal. The medal is stamped with the text "Relique Ou Px Sang De J.C. Protecez Nous," translated to “Relic of the Holy Blood of Jesus Christ, Protect Us.” The medal was found in Fecamp, from the Normandy region in France. Both medals are presented on a strand of freshwater pearls with a sterling silver toggle.
Searching the braderies and antique shops throughout Europe, the founders of Intellectual Property, Mary and Hallie, specialize in finding unique antique medals and transforming them into one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. Their designs highlight the legacy and integrity of the original pieces, artfully bringing the past into the present.
