Woolly Mammoth Tooth 4" Damascus Steel Double Sided Linerlock Knife
This Woolly Mammoth Tooth 4" Damascus Steel Linerlock Pocket Knife features a double-sided knife handle with a section of a tooth from an actual Woolly Mammoth – one that lived around 15,000 years ago.
Of all the animals that lived during the last Ice Age, the Woolly Mammoth is one of the best known. There is a limited supply of the mammoth tooth, which comes from Siberia. Mammoth fossils are 150,000 year old natural materials, so the patterns and colors vary, depending on each specimen. As such, no two fossils are the same, and no two knives are the same! These photos are representations of the material, but the actual products will vary in color and patterns.
The knife incorporates a 4" Damascus Steel blade. Damascus Steel is characterized by its strength, edge-holding ability, and its dramatic appearance. The Damascus Steel used in these knives comes from Japan and is called "Sanmai Damascus" or "Sandwich Damascus." There is a core of vg-10 steel with 16 layers of stainless steel on each side, to produce a rust-free Damascus blade.
This Damascus knife is 4" closed. The knife is double sided, with mammoth inlaid on both sides of the handle.
